Professional profile/intentions
With a keen focus on continuous improvement, I consider both my practical and artistic competencies to be of exceptional calibre. This commitment to growth is not only within my professional endeavours but also informs my personal pursuits. In my spare time, I indulge my passion for exploration by immersing myself in new experiences, frequently attending exhibitions to gain exposure to diverse insights and perspectives which bring me inspiration. I firmly believe that attentive listening and comprehensive understanding are key to achieving success in all my endeavours; embracing this philosophy compliments my work as I always strive for standards of excellence and quality.
Understanding the power of collaboration, I value the synergies that teamwork fosters, recognising that collective strengths can overcome challenges that would be impossible alone. Patience, enthusiasm, and adaptability are virtues I've cultivated through experience, enabling me to navigate diverse situations and are traits I am always conscious of developing.
My professional trajectory is comprised of a variety of experiences including event planning, exhibit curation, and overseeing large-scale commissions. These roles have honed my skills in organisation, client relations, and public engagement. I approach each task with an unwavering commitment to punctuality and precision, refusing to undertake any responsibility unless I am confident in delivering excellence. Challenges, rather than deterrence, serve as opportunities for self-improvement, propelling me to constantly refine and elevate my craft.
While my artistic journey has encountered its share of challenges, including financial constraints and geographical limitations, I have cultivated a resilient work ethic that persists alongside my current role at Rolls Royce. I aspire to carve out a creative niche within the company, where I can meld my design acumen with my artistic skill set. Seeking not only professional advancement but also a fulfilling work environment where I am highly regarded and empowered to flourish, I envision a career path that sustains both my passion and livelihood.
Chichester holds profound personal significance for me, intertwined with my familial heritage and a legacy of creativity rooted in the local landscape. This began with my grandfather who taught at West Dean and worked for many years as a tree surgeon at Goodwood and continues with my familial ties to agriculture and gamekeeping; a heritage I regularly draw inspiration from.
Aligning with Rolls Royce's tradition of excellence and craftsmanship fills me with such a sense of pride but alongside the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to its legacy.

Employment history:
Bespoke Commission Specialist (Artistry) at Rolls Royce Motor Cars - August 2024- current.
An in house artist predominantly working in paint for one off and special commissions. My role is to utilise my background to develop and finesse artwork in not only application but craft processes. The artistry role is one of four and comes under the specialist title within the bespoke sector of the plant.
Working with interior leather, my previous knowledge in textile and print is directly relevant to my working day. My fine art degree has given me adaptable conceptual knowledge of design and layout that I can confidently apply to artwork and project work. Painting can now be applied directly into a vehicle commission and my job is to directly facilitate this using my capabilities.
This role is continuously evolving with every bespoke client commission and idea, and I’m excited to see this role get progressively more challenging. Links below:
Brand Ambassador for ColArt - (Liquitex) December 2023. I travelled to John Lewis to host a creative workshop in store to paying crafters who would like some extra advanced tuition within paint.
Coachliner at Rolls Royce Motor Cars - Chichester - August 2022 August 2024.
Working within a small team inside the bespoke element of the paint shop at Goodwood, Chichester. We hand paint and line all models to the specific specifications of each individual customer. Working alongside the design team we facilitate new ideas and are primarily responsible for application from mixing the paint to polishing the finished line or motif.
This role was a constant learning curve and provided me with a creative outlet, alongside opportunities for growth and personal skill enhancement within paint application.
Sewing Associate at Rolls Royce Motor Cars - Chichester - September 2019 - December 2021.
Trim Centre Sewing associate. Trained on 5 job sticks within seat sewing including the use of construction, cut-off and roching machine. Use of shuttle rack, and stock processes. Sewing for me has always held an undertone in my creative work as a hobbyist and I seem to be able to just jump on a machine and be completely confident in doing so even after leaving the leather shop a few years ago. My studies in textiles and the need for textile tuition within my Art tech role has kept my interest in textiles revived.
Self Employed - Designer / Painter / Sign writer (Cd Sign and Design) - Sept 2015 - current. My work/ business crosses between fine art based commissions to graphic design and printed matter. This ranges from logo work, interior wall spaces, large public commissioned murals through to event and marketing material. I was exclusively successfully self -employed between July 2015- Sept 2017. My business (CD Sign and Design) was born from consecutive public commissions. I now use this name exclusively for my more public representational painting work and allow my own studio practise to run along side under Chloe Dowsett.com. Mural commissions today are still coming in and I mostly do work for the NHS on a case by case basis. They regard my work as appropriate and well thought out from meeting to application and we seem to have a consistently successful working relationship for coming on 9 years now.
